47th “Valle di Comino” International Folklore Festival”
47th International Folklore Festival in Atina: Four Days of Music, Dance and Cultures from Around the World
From 30 July to 2 August 2026, the heart of the Comino Valley is back, beating to the rhythm of folk music with the 46th edition of the “Memorial Luciano Sarda” International Folklore Festival”, scheduled for Atina, long Paper Mill Avenue.
Four action-packed days of performances, parades and cultural exchanges, featuring folk groups from various regions and countries. The festival opens on Thursday 31 July with the official ceremony and the first performances, followed by themed evenings such as “Young Edition” e “Made in Italy”.
Saturday 2 August is scheduled for the Holy Mass at the Church of St Scholastica and an evening of live performances, whilst Sunday 3 August concludes with a double fashion show – in the historic centre of Atina and in the village of Ponte Melfa – and the closing ceremony with exchange of gifts between the groups.
A historic, engaging and multicultural event that celebrates its folk roots in a festive and communal atmosphere.
