A huge success for the Croatian tour of the “Valle di Comino” Folk Group from Atina. Invited by their colleagues from “Kud Vidovec” in Vidovec, they performed during the Donja Dubrava International Folklore Festival, which took place on 18 September, and the “Zeljariada 2010” International Folklore Festival on the 19th, in the presence of a large audience and local authorities. Furthermore, on Sunday morning, all the groups that took part in the event were received by the Mayor of Vidovec, Bruno Hranic. The Ciociari were highly appreciated on their debut in those locations.
The tour lasted just five days, but they were very intense. All the participants were happy and satisfied. The the “Valle di Comino” folk group” The visit was well received, and the group had the opportunity to visit the most important sights in the city of Varaždin. The tour was very positive in terms of promoting Italian culture and tourism, fostering social ties, learning about Croatian customs and traditions, and exchanging ideas. The people of the valley should be proud of these young members of the folk group who continue to promote Italy. Luciano Sarda, who chairs the folk association, expressed his satisfaction: «The group’s core objective is “world peace through folklore”, and once again we have achieved great success and received much appreciation.».
